Originally a quartermaster for the Guard’s equipment, Landra came to be in charge of Lockhaven’s defenses after Rand was wounded and fell ill in the winter of 1152. She is pragmatic and well organized, which made her a natural replacement for the role. She tracks the movements and expected arrivals and departures of guardmice on their various patrols and is rarely off in her estimates.
